Who qualifies to be a Hero?

Potential Highway Heroes must meet these qualification criteria:

1.            Must be a full time, employed licensed truck or bus driver.

2.            Must have no license endorsements.

3.            Must reside in the Republic of South Africa.

4.            All license codes applying to trucks and buses qualify.

5.            The incident may have occurred at any time during the day or night.

6.            Recipients need not have been driving a bus, or truck at the time of the                 incident.

7.            The incident must have occurred during the qualifying period: 1 December                 2008 to 31 December 2009.
